"The land around the house is marked with deep, dark holes laid out in a grid reaching outwards in each direction. This is what we do: we dig, when the ground is soft and forgiving. We work alone, towards a common goal. For survival, for renewal, for our uncertain world."
A collection of hand-written texts, drawings, and photographs that have been ‘found’ amongst the remnants of the fictional Unearth community.
These discoveries act as records of their peculiar way of life, living in a salvaged house in the middle of the woods, subsisting off of the things that they find buried underground.

“We have our own garden, we’ve planted glass window-boxes into the ground to keep us fed throughout winter. We keep our seeds catalogued and enveloped in metal boxes. Everything we have here has been found—there is so much wasted in this world, forgotten things that lie in wait to be made useful once again.”
Fragments of Unearth explores objects as archives, focusing on a group of characters who spend their days acting like amateur archaeologists, surviving off of remnants, as well as telling their story through objects that they themselves would leave behind.
