My graduate film from Kingston School of Art: a process-led animation based on freewriting and made without storyboards.
Each part of this animation was created frame-by-frame following my stream of consciousness as an effort to externalise my internal world with as little mediation as possible.
inspiration was taken from Louise Bourgeouis' self-psychoanalytical writing, anatomical theatres and the historical & contemporary treatment of mentally ill women.
INTERNAL / EXTERNAL was selected for screening at MONSTRA Animation Festival 2021 and won 'Best Animation' at Kingston Film Festival 2021.
